This innovation is a Feeding Support Tool (FST) mobile phone app that allows smallholder farmers to improve the diets of their dairy animals through ration balancing software using locally available feed resources.
The CHARM-EZ-M system, is a lateral flow method for testing mycotoxins in livestock feeds. This accurate system allows for improved and more cost effective surveillance of aflatoxin contaminants in a wide range of livestock feeds.
From plant breeder selection among more than 1000 lines and participatory testing of 14 progenies in 2014-15 in Mali, one line named Sambola has been released to farmers and registered in the West African regional seed catalogue in 2016.
