Mission and Vision
Management of plant-parasitic nematodes in potato can dramatically improve potato yield and thus improve smallholder farmer livelihoods. Most growers need to recognize the damage inflicted by nematodes and undertake management options. One option is the used of biological control agents.
The addition of fungi such as biological control agents can help to reduce the population densities of damageing nematodes. We have applied Purpureocillium lilacinus as a biological control agent against potato cyst nematode.
