Solution

By providing stress-tolerant maize varieties for increased maize yields in environments with eractic rainfall patterns In addition to that, will provide education to the farmers regarding soil management by using traditional fertilizer and fumigation. Moreover will arrange tour and dialogue to different groups of farmers to learn from the farmers regarding the selection and preservation of the seeds.

Target Beneficiaries

government officials, Seed companies, distributors, farmers (men and women), consumers- Tanzania revenue.

Mission and Vision

To increase the production of maize by following the farming plan- such as 1) selection of maize which has a bigger comb and the plant was not affected with virus( MSV) 2) Soil management-map the farm to make sure there is no soil erosion caused by grazing or wind. 3)Choose good cultivation Tools including gloves 4) Make sure there is enough water for sustainable farming practice

Competitive Advantage

The project is producing new varieties with unique traits to withstand drought and other emerging stresses
